Fish On! Custom Rods didn't begin with a storefront, a warehouse, or a grand business plan.

It began in a garage.

We started by building custom fly rods by hand—learning the craft, choosing every component with care, and creating something we were proud to put our name on. What began around a workbench grew one rod, one customer, and one relationship at a time.

Family became part of it. Friends became part of it. Customers became friends. And somewhere along the way, Fish On! began growing into something much bigger than the garage where it started.

Today, the business looks very different. The heart of it doesn't.

Fish On! remains a small business owned by family and friends—people who know one another, believe in what we're building, and share a genuine love for the outdoors. As we've grown, we've welcomed people into the business who bring their own talents, interests, and ideas while sharing the values that have guided us from the beginning.

Where It Began — The Art of the Custom Rod

We have never outgrown rod building. We grew from it.

Building custom fly rods taught us to appreciate craftsmanship, materials, patience, innovation, and the small details that separate something good from something truly special.

That foundation remains an important part of Fish On! today. We continue to serve custom rod builders with an extensive selection of premium blanks, components, tools, and supplies from respected makers around the world.

The workbench is part of our history, and it continues to influence how we choose the products and brands we represent throughout the company.

Fly Fishing — A Tradition We Know Well

Our roots naturally grew from rod building into the broader world of fly fishing.

Today, Fish On! is proud to represent some of the most respected names in the industry, including Scott Fly Rods, Thomas & Thomas, Abel Reels, Ross Reels, Minamoto Classic Reels, Dyna-King, HMH, Renzetti, Norvise, and many others.

From a first fly rod to an heirloom-quality reel, fly tying and rod building to everyday essentials on the water, we believe good equipment should be chosen with purpose.

Fly fishing remains an important part of who we are—and always will.

But it isn't the only part.

Over the years, we came to understand something about our customers because it was also true about us:

We fish. We hunt. We travel. We camp. We gather around fires. We spend time with family and friends. We appreciate well-made things, comfortable clothes, good coffee, craftsmanship, and homes that remind us of the places we'd rather be.

So Fish On! continued to grow.

Our sporting and outdoor apparel now includes brands such as Duck Camp, Sendero Provisions, SIMMS, Fishe Wear, BlackStrap, and others selected for people who genuinely enjoy a life lived outdoors.

These aren't simply additions to a fly shop. They are part of the same life that inspired Fish On! in the first place.

Bringing the Outdoors Home

The sporting life doesn't stop at the river, the field, or the trail.

Sometimes it comes home with us.

Our Mercantile collection brings together furniture and décor, wool rugs and throws, leather goods, artwork, books and journals, handcrafted wood products, barware, gifts, and other pieces chosen to bring some of that outdoor character into the places where we live and gather.

Brands and makers such as Chandler 4 Corners, Old Wood Signs, Prince of Scots, Rustico Leather, Field Notes, and others allow us to tell that story in an entirely different way.

And because some of life's best conversations begin over a cup of coffee or around a table, Fish On! has also grown into specialty coffee, food, and provisions—with names including Onyx Coffee Lab, Angler's Coffee, Bourbon Barrel Foods, Pink House Alchemy, AeroPress, and more.

Each part of Fish On! has its own character and reason for being.

Together, they belong.

Little Rock, Arkansas, is home.

You can find us locally at Small Shops Marketplace, but our doors extend far beyond Arkansas. Through our online store, we serve customers throughout the United States and around the world.
